22 Oct The Hideaways Club acquires Villa Anatoli, Crete

Adding a first property in Greece to its Classic Collection portfolio

The Hideaways Club shared property ownership club has acquired a villa in the popular Cretan resort of Elounda, to add to its Classic Collection portfolio of worldwide luxury holiday homes. Villa Anatoli (meaning ‘where the sun rises’) is a charming 4-bedroom property with spectacular views over Elounda and Spinalonga Island – the setting for the 2005 novel The Island by Victoria Hislop. The acquisition of Villa Anatoli brings the total number of properties in The Club’s Classic Collection to 43.

The Hideaways Club has carried out a comprehensive renovation programme ensuring Villa Anatoli is designed and fitted to the highest standards for its members. Interior designers took inspiration from the local architecture in selecting a Mediterranean colour palette for the villa’s interior, featuring aqua blues, and fresh yellows whilst integrating reclaimed wood, iron and fabrics. The villa has an open plan kitchen, living and dining area and all bedrooms are en-suite. Amenities include a tennis court, swimming pool and a large game room.

The luxury villa is located 1.5 km from the port town of Elounda and within easy access of blue flag beaches nearby. Elounda is the most affluent part of Crete and the surrounding area is populated with many large 5-star resorts and luxury residential (second homes) and numerous tavernas, bars and shops. The nearest airport is Heraklion, which is an hour’s drive from the villa.

Commenting on this latest property acquisition, CEO of The Hideaways Club, Poonam Dhawan-Leech says: ‘The Greek Islands are a key destination that we have been keen to add to our European portfolio and Crete being one of the biggest islands in the Mediterranean is the perfect addition. We have acquired Villa Anatoli for our Members at a very competitive price and are confident that it has great potential for future growth in value. The villa perfectly fits our criteria for providing first class properties in outstanding locations, with great amenities and easy access to a variety of holiday activities.’

The Hideaways Club continues to add extremely desirable properties to its portfolio, all worth more than £1million, with the aim of owning a total of 100 homes across the globe in the Classic Collection and 100 in its City Collection.
