Spectacular Kyi Hla Han-designed layout to host the inaugural staging of
The Dàlat at 1200 Family Pairs on 29th – 31st July 2016

The Dàlat at 1200, Vietnam’s pre-eminent country club and private estate, will play host to a groundbreaking new amateur event this summer following the launch today of The Dàlat at 1200 Family Pairs.

The 36-hole tournament, the first of its kind in Southeast Asia, will be played from 29th -31st July and will feature two-person teams comprising family members of separate generations. Limited to a maximum of 60 pairs (120 players), the better-ball stableford tournament will draw competitors from around the Asia-Pacific region and beyond.

The championship course at The Dàlat at 1200, which was designed by noted Myanmar professional and former Asian Tour Number One Kyi Hla Han, has received rave reviews since opening in September 2015. Carved into the heart of the picturesque Da Ron Valley, the par-73 layout is located just 15 minutes from Dà Lat’s Lien Khuong Airport and offers spectacular views of Vietnam’s Central Highlands.

The Dàlat at 1200 Family Pairs will be the second international event to be played at this captivating venue in 2016, following the inaugural Ladies’ Professional Golf tournament, a US$420,000 Korean Ladies Professional Golf Association-sanctioned event, which will be held from 22-27 March.

“The Dàlat at 1200 Family Pairs promises to be a fantastic week of fun and competition,” said Mr Tang Kay Hwa, Executive Director of Centurion Group (Singapore), owners of the development. “Playing golf at The Dàlat at 1200 is unlike any other golf experience in Southeast Asia, thanks to Dà Lat’s temperate climate and fresh mountain air. I’m sure the players will also relish the opportunity to play on our bent grass greens, which are among the best-conditioned in the region.

“For us, the tournament allows us to showcase our outstanding property and the charming city of Dà Lat to a diverse audience.”

Tim Orgill, Founder of Hong Kong-based event organisers Impact Golf Management Group, added: “Junior golf in Asia continues to go from strength to strength – but there are precious few tournaments that encourage family participation. This is what makes The Dàlat at 1200 Family Pairs unique. Bringing together entrants from a wide range of ages for two rounds over a truly first-class course is going to be special.”

Entry to the event is priced at US$1,500 per team and includes two competition rounds, one practice round, three nights’ twin-share accommodation, ground transfers and a welcome dinner and closing barbeque. Registration and further event details and conditions via the official tournament website:
