Alila Anji Launches New Autumn Menu
At Alila Anji’s Hidden Dragon restaurant, the best of Anji’s locally produced, organic and seasonal ingredients are the stars in a fresh new autumn menu.
“Autumn is a season for good nourishment in preparation for winter,” says Marco den Ouden – General Manager of Alila Anji, who, together with resort’s culinary team, has created a heartwarming menu of autumn delicacies for guests seeking to savor the season’s best.
Signature dishes include local free-range farm chicken prepared in a variety of ways, such as Crispy, Stewed, cooked with mushrooms and cai xin, or Deep Fried with palmar and asparagus. The chicken is reared in the surrounding bamboo forests, and is deliciously crisper than the normal variety of chicken.
One of the most important autumn harvests, is Anji’s chestnuts. Here, they are bigger and sweeter than any grown elsewhere, and are celebrated in dishes such as Fried Beef with Local Chestnuts. Fish and seafood also make an appearance in new signatures like Fried Prawn with Onion and Fresh Chili, Mixed Deep Fried Shrimp and Fruit with Salad Dressing, and Stewed Eel with Green and Red Pepper. All vegetables used are organic and locally produced.
